Donald Trump Asks Former Green Beret Rep. Mike Waltz to Be National Security Advisor

Wall Street Journal: President-elect Donald Trump has asked Rep. Mike Waltz, a Green Beret veteran who served in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa, to be his White House national security adviser, according to people familiar with the discussion. The national security adviser is a highly influential post appointed by the president that doesn’t require Senate confirmation. The job entails coordinating among all the top national security agencies, briefing the president and executing his policies. Waltz will step into his role amid prolonged conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, and Trump is expected to try to prevent further escalation abroad by building deterrence against foreign rivals while favoring transactional policies with U.S. allies (Wall Street Journal). New York Post: The position does not require Senate confirmation, allowing Waltz to step into the position as soon as Trump is inaugurated on Jan. 20 (New York Post).

Trump Appoints Rep. Elise Stefanik to Be U.N. Ambassador
Townhall: President-elect Donald Trump tapped Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in his second term. “I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,” Trump said. “Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.” The House Republican Conference Chair, who gained prominence for holding universities accountable for their responses to Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel, has been a fierce critic of the world body. Stefanik told the New York Post in a statement that she’s “honored” and “humbled” to accept the nomination to serve as U.S. ambassador to the U.N. (Townhall). National Review: The U.N. has faced widespread criticism from Republicans over its critical response to Israel’s war in Gaza, and some members of its humanitarian organization, UNRWA, have been accused of taking part in Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel last year. Stefanik is expected to bring her strong pro-Israel views to the U.N. once Trump returns to the White House in January (National Review).

Trump Announces Former ICE Director Tom Homan New Border Czar
An upgrade from Border Czar Kamala Harris. Townhall: President-elect Donald Trump announced Tom Homan, his former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement director, will serve as “border czar” in his second administration… Homan’s position will not require Senate confirmation, meaning he can get to work on Day One (Townhall). Chief Nerd: Meet Trump’s New Border Czar Tom Homan: “I got a message to the criminal cartels in Mexico. You smuggled enough fentanyl across this country to kill 148,000 young Americans. You have killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world combined. And that’s why when President Trump gets back in office, he’s going to designate you a terrorist organization and he’s going to wipe you off the face of the earth. You’re done” (X). Elon Musk: Congratulations Tom Homan on being given responsibility for enforcing our borders (X)!

Charlie Kirk: Ladies and gentleman, your next deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller. “America is for Americans and Americans only.” Let’s go (X)!

U.S. Marine Daniel Penny Repeatedly Referred to As “the White Man” During Trial
Townhall: On Day Two of testimony, Daniel Penny was merely known as “the white man.” That’s what Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s deputy reduced him to in front of the jury, as part of the prosecution’s latest attempts to racially charge the New York City subway case. The race-based label began when witness Ivette Rosario took the stand. Rosario, then a 17-year-old high school student, was trapped on the train with Jordan Neely that day he had threatened to kill other commuters, which in turn prompted Penny to step in and subdue him. A visibly shy and nervous Rosario did not know Penny’s name so she simply referred to him as “the white guy.” However, assistant district attorney Jillian Shartrand, who’s prosecuting Penny on behalf of Bragg, did not correct the soft-spoken teen. Instead of informing her of the accused’s name, Bragg’s underling adopted the epithet as her own, calling Penny “the white man” again and again. As she continued to question Rasario, Shartrand reportedly used that description more than half a dozen times before the jury, drilling it into their minds (Townhall). New York Post: It was jarring to hear it repeated so casually. Given the racial undertones of the case, with BLM protesters hurling accusations of Penny being a “racist vigilante,” it felt doubly reckless (New York Post).

60 Minutes Admits If Trump Is Successful in Second Term, Republicans Will Win Several Election Cycles
Townhall: The MAGA landslide saw 80 percent of all US counties shift toward the GOP, a remarkable repudiation of Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party, and the political class. As they cope and seethe, viewing anyone not like them politically as ignorant or evil, Trump weaponized the Left’s self-righteousness, painting them as out-of-touch, condescending, and all-around not in line with reality. It worked. You can’t win national elections when all you have is Jewish people, black women, and college graduates. Yet, 60 Minutes had an eye-opening and damning segment about the 2024 election, how Democrats overestimated the impact of women voters and abortion, and what could happen to them if Trump is successful in reducing inflation and generating an economy where people feel their bank statements are more secure (Townhall). 60 Minutes: “If Trump can really meet those promises—bring inflation down, make things more affordable, and make these families feel more financially secure—he’s going to have an ally for probably several election cycles going forward,” says Leslie Sanchez (X). Trump War Room: A CLEAN SWEEP: “With a final tally of 312 electoral votes, Republicans scored their biggest White House win in 36 years” (X).

Jew “Hunting” Antisemitic Demonstrations Break Out in Amsterdam
New York Times: The police in Amsterdam arrested five more people on assault charges this weekend, four of whom are still being held, over the attacks on Israeli soccer fans in the city late last week after a match between an Israeli and a Dutch team. The total number of people who are still being held in connection to the violence is now eight, the police said, and more arrests were possible. The people arrested were all men ranging in age from 18 to 37. The police urged people to share any video footage as a way to aid their investigation. On Monday afternoon, Dick Schoof, the prime minister of the Netherlands, told Dutch reporters that the perpetrators who attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters in Amsterdam primarily had “a migration background.” “We have an integration problem,” Mr. Schoof said. “This is an expression of that” (New York Times). National Review: A famous Dutch tram was set ablaze by rioters in Amsterdam on Monday. Rioters in all-black attire were seen throwing objects and shouting “Kanker Joden,” a phrase that translates to “Cancer Jews” but is widely interpreted as “F*** the Jews.” The tram reportedly contained no passengers. Perpetrators shattered the windows of a different tram earlier in the day before setting it on fire in the city’s western suburbs. This prompted clashes with law enforcement and more than 50 arrests. A police spokesman reported that the blaze was likely caused by fireworks (National Review). Jew hunting (X).

Judge Approves of Antisemitism Lawsuit Against Harvard for “Deliberate Indifference”
Just the News: Already reeling from plummeting donations and admission applications stemming from its ambivalent response to the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israeli civilians, outrage from banning pro-Palestine “study-in” faculty from a campus library and now a second Trump administration, Harvard also can’t catch a break from the federal courts. For the second time in three months, U.S. District Judge Richard Stearns, nominated by President Clinton, greenlit a lawsuit alleging the Ivy League school allowed unchecked antisemitism against students, while dismissing retaliation and “direct discrimination” claims (Just the News).

Dr. Fauci Given $15 Million in Taxpayer Services in Retirement
Just when we think he is gone, he always finds a way to come back up. Daily Wire: Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who retired in December 2022, reportedly got $15,000,000 in taxpayer-funded security services — after he retired. The services were provided between January 4, 2023, and September 20, 2024. The government watchdog organization Open The Books, which states its mission is to “work hard to capture and post all disclosed spending at every level of government – federal, state, and local,” found the evidence in a memorandum of understanding between the U.S. Marshals service and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services via a Freedom of Information Act request (Daily Wire). Amuse: Would you be shocked to learn that you’re footing a $20,000 daily bill for Dr. Fauci’s personal chauffeur and security detail? Over the last two years, American taxpayers have shelled out a whopping $15 million to maintain the lifestyle to which the “good doctor” has grown quite accustomed. Fauci’s net worth sits comfortably at over $11 million, and he once held the title of highest-paid federal employee at $480,000 per year. In retirement, he draws an impressive $350,000 annually, a figure that surpasses most working Americans’ salaries. He’s also pocketed undisclosed royalties from 37 drug patents, and let’s not overlook the nearly $1 million award from the Dan David Foundation, given – ironically – for “speaking truth to power.” And then there are the book deals and potential movie rights (X).
