Dear Ward 8 Residents,

Thank you for your patience and for demonstrating diligence in following the Stay-At-Home order to combat the coronavirus here in our nation's capital. These are tough times for all of us; however, we still have work to do. The number of new cases are slowing down, but have not met the criteria to reopen our city.

In the meantime, the weather is breaking and residents and children are anxious to get out of the house. Here is a list of suggested and allowable recreational activities that residents can practice with persons from your household:
* Walking
* Hiking
* Running
* Dog-walking
* Skateboarding
* Playing tennis
* Gardening and;
* other recreational activities where all participants are practicing social distancing and there is no person-to-person contact.

Residents, please continue to wear your mask and face coverings when making essential outings. Together, we will combat the coronavirus and continue to save lives in our city.

Regards,

Trayon White, Sr.
Councilmember, Ward 8
