Happy Veterans Day to all the vets out there! Every year, my son’s school holds a heartfelt Veterans Day ceremony, where they invite family members who’ve served to be honored. It’s something truly special for us. The entire school, from 1st to 8th grade, gathers to sing patriotic songs, recite poems, and watch a moving video that ends with service members reuniting with loved ones. It’s a powerful reminder of the sacrifices veterans make and the freedoms we enjoy because of it. That’s the heart of Veterans Day—not just the free meals (though we did enjoy lunch at Chili’s afterward!).
