** GRISWOLD’S BIG LIES and UTTER FAILURES
------------------------------------------------------------

** Join a Zoom Call Tonight at 7:30pm for a detailed explanation by ACTUAL CYBER EXPERTS about Sec of State Griswold’s BIOS password compromise.

Background: ENTIRE passwords were revealed online for 664 pieces of equipment in 63 of 64 counties. Those passwords were exposed for at least 4 months, possibly 6 months or more.

Sec of State Jena Griswold is in full damage-control mode, and her BIG LIES are drawing attention nationwide. She aspires to become Colorado’s next governor, but her incompetence is showing, and her lies are hemorrhaging badly.

Griswold’s LIES are painful to watch as she stumbles, blinks and chokes through them, yet much of the media repeat them without question. Let’s review the facts, and how Jena Griswold distorts every one:
------------------------------------------------------------
1. Fact: These passwords, posted on the internet since at least June, were COMPLETE passwords for hundreds of pieces of equipment.

Griswold’s BIG LIE is they are only partial passwords.

2. Fact: It only takes ONE password to get into the system. According to cyber experts and white hat hackers, access to the BIOS passwords makes all other passwords irrelevant.

Griswold’s BIG LIE is it takes two passwords to get into the system, as if the election equipment operates like a two-key safety deposit box.

3. Fact: Remote Access is a legitimate threat. True computer experts will verify the systems can be accessed from anywhere in the world, given the right circumstances.

Griswold’s BIG LIE is that remote access cannot happen.

4. Fact: Cyber experts who have tested election systems and high-level government systems (there are no such experts on the SoS staff), advise an average hacker could compromise the machine and leave no trace they had been in the machine.

Griswold LIES by saying there is no evidence the systems were accessed. She knows there would be no evidence left behind by a mediocre hacker, yet she plays word games – as liars and politicians often do.

5. Fact: Cyber experts warn these systems must be quarantined, then undergo a total forensic investigation.

Griswold LIES and declares a password change is sufficient.

We must always remember much of this election equipment was built in communist China, using foreign workers, with no supply chain security measures. These systems are not secure in the national security sense of the word, and for the reasons above can NEVER be secured or trusted.

Nevertheless, these systems are being used in critical roles that determine our elected government at the local, state, and federal level. Bad actors manipulating our elections could directly affect government policies – and those adversaries know election manipulation is a low-risk way to do so. It is well known that communist China has hundreds of thousands of persons probing our nation’s cyber vulnerabilities every day, and one of the highest priority targets is our election systems and infrastructure. Jena Griswold left the computer keys hanging on the internet for 4 to 6 months – and at this point, we do not know if passwords were unsecured for far longer in other documents.

Griswold pretends there is not a significant threat. She chooses to ignore – or is simply too incompetent to understand – how an adversary of the US would use this easy access to alter foreign policy and undermine our culture, economy, border policies and national security.

Secretary Griswold is now reaching out to county clerks in an effort to restore faith in the equipment and in her ability to manage them. No doubt those must be some interesting conversations.

Griswold’s FAILURES and compromise of hundreds of passwords may have impacted other states as well – as many as 25 other states. This will be explained in greater detail on tonight’s Zoom call.

There is no fixing this equipment – it should be scrapped.

President Trump is well aware of the issues with our elections systems and procedures. We can expect Election Security will be among the first things he addresses when he is sworn in again on Jan 20^th, 2025.

Before that happens, Colorado voters deserve a full investigation of the security violations and password compromises due to Sec Griswold’s negligence.

Respectfully,
Ron Hanks, Chairman, Ballot and Election Security Committee
