Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor the extraordinary men and women who have served our nation in uniform. Kentucky has a proud military heritage, with generations of brave citizens who have answered the call to defend our freedoms and values.
Kentucky's veterans represent the very best of our Commonwealth. They are our neighbors, teachers, first responders, and community leaders who continue to serve our state long after their military service ends. Their dedication to our country didn't end when they hung up their uniforms — they bring their leadership, skills, and commitment to service to our communities every day.
Our recognition of Kentucky's veterans extends beyond words of gratitude. Democrats fought to deliver the PACT Act, which has helped ensure our veterans receive the health care and benefits they've earned. This is just one way we're striving to better serve those who served us.
To all Kentucky veterans: Your sacrifice, courage, and dedication have made our Commonwealth and our country stronger. Your example inspires future generations, and your service will never be forgotten.
