As you read this, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pushing a $3 TRILLION stimulus bill in Congress. In addition to a partisan wish list of reckless pending, her bill includes a massive state bailout proposal, sending your tax dollars to fund the poor financial decisions of states like Illinois and New York.
Washington's chronic spending and borrowing is a threat to our national security and the future prosperity of our country. Our ability to defend American interests by deterring legitimate threats is only as good as our ability to pay for it. When our economic health is put at risk, we are less safe.
Federal debt has already climbed above $25 trillion, including more than $1 trillion in debt taken on in just the last month.
Financial aid should go to those who are hurting. But these federally-financed bailouts would reward states that have made bad fiscal choices for years at the expense of taxpayers in states that have exercised fiscal restraint.
It is an improper use of hard-earned, taxpayer resources that we cannot afford.
Pelosi's House bill was only unveiled earlier this week, and lawmakers plan to vote on it as soon as Friday. That means your lawmakers need to hear from you NOW, before it is too late.
The next week will be critical in this fight.

1. Email your lawmakers and tell them to reject big-government bailouts and reckless spending.
