Freedom. It comes at a high price. And no one has paid a higher price
than the men and women who have served in our nation's armed
forces.
They have courageously stood for freedom in the darkest of times and
in the most hopeless of situations no matter the odds.
As our client in Navy SEALs 1-26 v. Biden, retired Navy SEAL Drew
Forsberg, writes today, it's important that we understand that
"Veterans don't just carry the weight of their service;
they embody it, bringing the same discipline, resilience, and
dedication to every challenge they face after service."
Today on Veterans Day, we believe it is critical that we not only
thank our veterans for their service but make sure that they know we
honor and support the sacrifices they make daily.
Our service members have fought and died for the freedoms guaranteed
by the Constitution. It's time we show them how truly thankful
we are.
At First Liberty, we believe that we have no higher calling than to
support and defend the rights of our service members to live and serve
according to their faith. And our record speaks for itself.
When dozens of Navy SEALs were attacked by Navy leadership and the
Department of Defense for requesting a religious accommodation to the
COVID-19 vaccine mandate, First Liberty fought side-by-side with them.
Together, we achieved an unprecedented victory for over 4,300 sailors
that restored service records to good standing and ensured the next
three fiscal years of promotion boards will include meaningful career
protections.
When Space Force reservist Jace Yarbrough was admonished for speaking
in accordance with his faith at a retirement ceremony, First Liberty
came to his defense.
And while we are still fighting for Jace's right to speak freely
in his civilian capacity, you can be sure we won't rest until
the letter of admonishment has been removed from his service record.
When Biden's military leadership forced Shields of Strength to stop
donating millions of Biblically inspirational dog tags to service
members, First Liberty stepped in to defend them from an
anti-faith organization.
This decision impacts not just the soldiers themselves that find
strength and encouragement in these tags-it's their
families as well. It's the countless stories of mothers,
fathers, sisters and brothers who remain connected to their loved ones
in spirit when they hold their tag.

Today, it's time to make acknowledging the commitment to service
and the ongoing mission made by America's military a priority
that goes beyond Veterans Day.
