This Veterans Day, I’m proud to honor those who have served our country.

Many of my family members have served in our armed forces, including both of my grandfathers, who served during World War II. I know the sacrifice many individuals and families have made to keep our country safe.

I spent time today at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery for their annual commemoration and celebration of our veteran leaders. I’m so proud that Maryland is home to many veteran-owned businesses. Our veterans deserve endless respect and appreciation for their bravery and service, and as Comptroller, I’ll always do whatever I can to support our veterans here in Maryland.

I hope you and your family have a safe and restful Veterans Day.
