** Still counting… ahead by just 99 votes
------------------------------------------------------------
After almost a week of counting votes, San Francisco has counted 364,959 votes, with about 44,000 left to go. Our race has tightened to become the closest in the city at this moment. The results likely won’t be final for another couple of days, and we are watching with fingers crossed.
There will be four winners in the race for Board of Education, and I’m so proud of Jaime Huling, and Parag Gupta, my slate mates who have been called winners already! Right now our campaign is in the top 4 by just 99 votes with 112,109 votes so far. This is incredibly close. We are leading the incumbent President of the school board by 99 votes, but we are ahead of the next candidate by over 21,000 votes. The final vote count will likely be the closest Board of Education race this decade.
Every vote truly matters. Every donation, every endorsement, every volunteer shift made a difference. Thank you to everyone that chose to help fight to improve our schools.
