The 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly known as COP29, will be the 29th United Nations Climate Change conference. COP29 will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan starting today to 22 November, 2024.

There are many controversies surrounding COPs and COP29 in particular.
What are your thoughts?
Petrostates and fossil fuel companies dominate attendees at COP29.
Is this good or bad?

• Cop29 could change the financial climate for the world’s wealthy polluters  -  350.org is cited - "Billionaires and fossil fuel giants are in the crosshairs of environmental NGO 350.org..."
   
• Cop29 CEO filmed agreeing to facilitate fossil fuel deals at climate summit
   
• Azerbaijan's economy is highly dependent on fossil fuels, the main cause of climate change
   
• Big oil ‘fully owned the villain role’ in 2023, the hottest year ever recorded

Our speaker will be Katelynn Samuelsen, the Outreach and Engagement Specialist working on the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant with the Wisconsin Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy.
