Today is Veterans Day and we at Zeldin Cares are reminded of the immense sacrifices made by those who have served our country. Our mission to uplift underserved communities across New York includes a deep commitment to our veterans who deserve our support beyond their service.

Here are a few ways Zeldin Cares is working to support veterans and their families:

Partnering with Matt Bruderman and the Bruderman Family Foundation, we launched the Dakota Project last winter with Arctix apparel, donating over 108,000 pieces of cold-weather clothing worth over $5.2 million to Americans in need, including homeless and low-income veterans. One great example was working with General Needs to distribute more than 1,500 coats, boots, and pants to veterans in Queens and on Long Island.

During last holiday season, in coordination with great partners in Western New York, Zeldin Cares created Christmas stockings for over 300 veteran families. Each stocking was filled with essentials, tokens of appreciation, and reminders that these families have a community standing with them.

At Zeldin Cares, our mission is rooted in respect and gratitude for those who have served. On this Veterans Day, we honor all veterans and reaffirm our commitment to their well-being.
