Jack,

Veterans Day is a special day in our nation. Today, we honor those who stood in defense of America and its people.

I’m privileged to represent thousands of military personnel and veterans in Georgia’s 2nd District. I’ve sought to use my role in Congress to improve the lives of veterans at home in Georgia and around the country — from my time on the Veterans Affairs Committee when I first came to Congress to my current leadership position on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs.

While we can never repay our debt to those who served, we have an obligation to do all we can to honor their service. We must provide the very best health care for our veterans and seek education and career advancement opportunities for veterans, service members, and their families.

The men and women who served our nation in uniform deserve our full gratitude. So today, I’m asking you to join me in thanking them. But more than that — let’s continue to honor their service and sacrifice every day.
