Team, I'm not loving this trend:
That graphic might not mean much to you, so let me explain: We're almost halfway through May, and our fundraising pace is down slightly this month compared to last. But, if we can raise $7,500 by midnight on Saturday, we'll be back on track in no time.
Lots of us are facing immeasurable challenges right now, which is why Team Julie started using our phone banks to check in on folks in TX-25 and provide help where needed. We even created an exhaustive, 13-county COVID-19 resource guide and a section on our website to pull together information on federal, state, and local level resources for everyone in this district. That's the kind of representative you know Julie will be: deeply committed to serving the people of this district.
It's in stark contrast to Representative Roger Williams, who — just like his pal Donald Trump — downplayed the crisis and used his power to secure a Payroll Protection Program loan for his car dealership while small businesses in the district got shut out.
Julie is showing TX-25 voters every day what it means to run a people-powered campaign for all of us, and I know we can show everyone how a people-powered campaign can win.
But with the rising costs of ads and the digital tools we're using to stay connected with hundreds of thousands of voters in this time of social distancing, we really can't afford to fall behind on our fundraising.
Couldn't do this without you,
Sidney Hollingsworth
