It's Time to Act! Tell Congress to Keep Medicare Affordable by Funding MIPPA

Last week, we showed you [[link removed]] how good the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) is at helping vulnerable older adults enroll in benefits. Now, it's time to act so those outreach efforts can continue.

📧 Tell Congress to extend MIPPA funding

Your members of Congress return to Washington, D.C. tomorrow. Let's flood their inboxes [[link removed]] with messages so they know what needs attention right away!

How to Make Your Message Stand Out

These tips will help you have a lasting impact on the staffers and elected officials who read it:

> Personalize your message. Tell a story about yourself or someone you know who was (or could have been) helped by MIPPA's outreach.
> Emphasize bipartisanship. Everyone wants to see vulnerable older adults get the help they deserve. NCOA's own research has shown that MIPPA is overwhelmingly popular with members of both political parties.
> Offer to continue the conversation. If you are willing, offer to engage your members of Congress further via phone or a visit to their local office. They might reach out to you about this issue to learn more!

Don't forget that you can always reach out to NCOA's Public Policy and Advocacy team for assistance. Send us an email at [email protected] [[email protected]?subject=Support requested: MIPPA advocacy] and we'll see how we can support you.

Thank you for being a stalwart supporter of aging well!
