I am done mourning what could have been. We’ve been in this fight from day one. Let’s keep building for New York’s future.

Dear friend,

The election is over, and while it was a wake-up call, it only strengthens my commitment to the work we’ve already been doing for years.

We’ve been pushing, organizing, and fighting for New Yorkers on issues that matter—from affordable housing to quality child care and everything in between.

Now, we need to go even further. We need to deliver.

We saw the results of frustration with broken systems and unkept promises. Too many people feel left behind. For so many New Yorkers, the daily struggle to make ends meet, to find affordable housing, and to secure decent child care has become overwhelming.

This election exposed those fractures—and it’s on us to start rebuilding.

If we’re going to make real progress, we need everyone who cares about this city to stand with us. We are tired of the same broken men getting us stuck in the same broken cycles. We need leaders who understand that the time for action is now.

That’s why I’m asking for your support today.

It’s going to take all of us stepping up—not just by donating, but by getting involved on the ground. This election was a wake-up call, especially when we look at the turnout rates. Every person who showed up to vote made a difference, but we need even more voices and hands if we’re going to drive real change.

Whether it’s knocking on doors, spreading our message in your neighborhood, or joining our organizing efforts, your involvement matters. Showing up is just as important as donating, and together, we can build the movement that New York City deserves.

Every dollar we raise will go toward building the kind of city we deserve—one that puts working people and families first. And with NYC’s 8-to-1 matching program, your contribution can make an even bigger impact.

This is a moment to show that we won’t back down. We’re committed to addressing the real challenges facing New Yorkers—without delay, without excuses, and without leaving anyone behind.

Let’s get to work.

In solidarity,

Jessica Ramos
