“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

 - Romans 3:23-24

Friend,

I was convicted this week of being anxious and worrying about things in the future. A song came on in the car that I have listened to many times when I’ve been uncertain or stressed. It spoke of the many things Jesus has done for us, not because He had to, but because He chose to. Because He loves us!

Every one of us falls short, but by His blood we are redeemed. His grace has been poured out over us and we are undeserving. No matter what is going on in the world, that is plenty of reason to worship and praise His Name!

Among the countless other things we have to be thankful for and where we can look back and see what God has done for us, we can also know that Jesus didn’t leave us alone in our sin, He didn’t leave us alone in our shame, and He didn’t leave us to figure it out on our own. He took our sin and bore our shame, all so that we could have eternal life and a relationship with Him.

We are freely justified by His death on the cross for us - praise God for not leaving us like we once were. He calls us into new life and He calls us His own. Thank You Lord!

-Lucy Kemp
