Did you see Anthony's message?

ACLU Supporter, did you see this message from Anthony D. Romero, our executive director?

We're counting on a wave of immediate support – that's what we need to carry out a swift, strong response to the coming attacks on all our rights from the Trump administration.

Make a gift right now to power our work taking on the new Trump administration: <[link removed]>

At the ACLU, we play the long game. We've been here for 105 years, through 19 presidents.

We're not new to this: We filed 434 legal actions against the first Trump administration, often winning landmark cases before Trump-appointed judges.

But we know that a response big enough to meet this moment is going to take substantial resources. Each legal action we file has a team of attorneys, paralegals, and strategists behind it. Every town hall, every rally, every protest depends on the hard work of dozens of staffers.

Every single dollar you send our way will ensure that we are equipped to do all of that and more – from showing up in courtrooms, Congress, state legislatures, and the streets, to supporting organizers in our priority states, to printing and distributing literature.

Will you make a donation right now to help us make sure that our organization is able to throw our full weight into taking on Donald Trump's administration during his second term? <[link removed]>

In solidarity,

ACLU Supporter, it's official: Donald Trump won the presidency.

I won't mince words: a second Trump administration represents a clear and present danger to our democratic norms, processes, and institutions.

Fortunately, our nation is stronger than one man or administration — no matter how dogged they are in attacking our democracy.

If you've been waiting for the right moment to give, this is it. When you donate today, you help us scale up our work right now and prepare for the fights we know are coming in the Trump administration. <[link removed]>

Throughout the first Trump administration, the ACLU consistently mobilized hundreds of thousands of people who voiced their opposition to Trump's policies. And during the next Trump administration, we will continue this work by working with our ACLU affiliates to build firewalls that safeguard rights and liberties in states across the nation.

President-elect Trump has been crystal clear about his plans to deport one million immigrants every year and target the 'enemy within'—which, for Trump, means anyone who disagrees with him. He is dead serious about seeking retribution against his political opponents and deploying federal law enforcement to shut down protests and muzzle dissent.

Guided by Project 2025, we believe he will try to make good on those promises. Here's the good news. He'll have to get past us -- all of us. We have a battle tested playbook for holding them accountable and we are ready to meet this administration with the full strength of the ACLU just as we did in 2016.

But to do that, we need you with us. We are relying on the support of our more than 1.1 million members to fund these efforts today – that will ensure that we can put lawyers in courtrooms, advocates in front of state legislatures, and organizers in communities all over the country who will stop the Trump administration from enacting their extreme Project 2025 agenda.

We're counting on you to show up again in this urgent moment, so will you please rush a contribution to the ACLU now? <[link removed]>

Thank you,
