As Trump celebrated, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu was rejoicing right along with him.
Netanyahu was one of the first to congratulate Trump, complimenting him on “history’s greatest comeback”. Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s closest advisors wasted no time saying that they believe Trump will let them get away with anything they want.
Palestinians across Gaza are already paying the brutal price as Israeli forces double down their massive offensive in northern Gaza, wiping out one of the last remaining hospitals and killing scores of men, women, and children.
We have to do something.
Bernie has introduced a resolution to halt $20 billion of U.S. weapons sales to Israel and finally FORCE the Israeli government to stop the slaughter. It will be the FIRST EVER vote in Congressional history to directly block an arms sale to Israel and it’s just DAYS AWAY.
We need to show a groundswell of public support to make it clear to Congress that THIS is the moment to draw a line in the sand and show Netanyahu we will not look the other way. Will you stand with Bernie and show massive support for his resolution?
Netanyahu’s far-right national security minister minced no words in responding to Trump’s reelection, saying “It’s time for total victory.”
Given the scale of the destruction and slaughter we’ve seen so far, it’s almost hard to imagine it could get worse. But it can. And it will if we don’t act.
Experts say Trump’s reelection has taken the pressure off Netanyahu to reach any kind of ceasefire deal. Now he’ll just run out the clock on Biden’s term, waiting for Trump to enter office and give him the greenlight to do anything he likes.
We have just a few weeks left before Trump takes office to do SOMETHING – and Bernie is leading the way with a path forward to stop the endless flow of weapons. But he needs ALL of us to stand with him.
