Robert Robertson, an innocent father on death row.

John, today is Robert Roberson’s birthday — and unfortunately, it marks another year of his life spent on Texas’ death row for a crime that never occurred. While we know celebrating a birthday behind bars is not the same as celebrating with loved ones, we’re committed to showing Robert that he has a strong team of supporters standing with him.
Will you join us in wishing Robert a happy birthday? Add your name and a special birthday message before midnight tonight:

John, it’s been less than a month since Robert was nearly executed on Oct. 17 for a conviction based on the now-debunked shaken baby syndrome. Despite new evidence proving Robert’s 2-year-old daughter, Nikki, died of pneumonia and not abuse or homicide, no court has yet been willing to consider the massive new evidence showing that no crime, only the tragic death of his very sick little girl, occurred. As of now, Robert’s life was only saved because a courageous group of bipartisan Texas lawmakers subpoenaed Robert and the Texas Supreme Court upheld a temporary stay — a matter that is the focus of ongoing litigation.
Robert’s fate is still very precarious. Until he’s back home, we’ll continue to fight for a fair and just outcome. But right now, we’re counting on you to help us wish him a happy birthday. Before midnight tonight, will you add your name and wish Robert a happy birthday?
