Once again, the liberal media got it wrong! Georgians showed up and helped deliver a historic victory for President-elect Donald Trump.
I am so proud of our state for smashing voting records and showing the world how a free, fair, and secure election is run, a testament to the strength of our election security reforms that made voting easier and cheating harder.
I also want to express my deep gratitude for your support with trusting me to serve another term as your congressman. You’ve heard me say this before, but this is my home, where I’ve lived all my life and intend to live the rest of my life. Second to being a father and grandfather, serving you in the House of Representatives has been the greatest honor and privilege of my life. The shine hasn’t worn off for me; I’m excited every time I go to Washington.
I am humbled to have your support and will work hard every single day to make Georgia’s First Congressional District a better place to live, work, and learn. As a man of faith, I pray for my constituents daily, and am touched by those who take the time to pray not just for me, but for the office and our district.
This election was about opportunity. The left talked about creating an opportunity economy, but Trump delivered it when he lowered taxes and cost of living, and that’s why America is sending him back to the White House.
Now, we have the opportunity to right-size the economy, secure our border, restore our respect on the world stage, combat the fentanyl crisis, re-establish law and order in our cities, and make America great once again.
Under President Trump, we will unleash American energy, cutting prices and ensuring our allies don’t have to purchase their energy sources from our enemies, such as Russia and Iran.
He will stand up to terrorists instead of kowtowing to them.
President Trump will ruthlessly stand with Israel and isn’t afraid to call out the antisemitism that is plaguing the Democrat Party.
Unlike Biden-Harris, he’s sure as heck not going to line Iran’s pockets so they can launch missiles at our allies.
He will also secure our border by enforcing the laws that are already on the books and make sure that only American citizens can vote in American elections.
I look forward to working with President Trump in the 119th Congress to advance an America First agenda.

In this week's edition of Buddy's Briefing, we are discussing more stops that I made in our "Take Buddy to Work" program, including at the Glynn County Police Department and at Jered Manufacturing.

I joined Mornings with Maria to discuss President-elect Trump's commitment to voters to fix the economy and to secure our southern border. In case you missed it, the highlights are below:
ON PRESIDENT TRUMP'S PRIORITIES
"Certainly the economy played a big part of it...
"As you know, Maria, we've had a rough summer down here in Georgia, particularly in South Georgia, with the hurricanes and everything that has happened...
"The economy has been the number one issue on people's mind down here...
"Secondly immigration, and listen Maria, this one's for Laken Riley. God bless her family today...
"I mean we Georgians aren't gonna forget her for a long time and it was a result of the Biden-Harris administration’s policies that that happened and it should have never happened...
"And that's what's so important to know, because elections have consequences, because policies have consequences...
"Donald Trump gets it, he understands, he understands the economy, he understands we need to secure that border, he understands we need to be respected on the world stage, he understands we need to cut crime in our cities, and all of that is what made Georgians, again, support Donald Trump."
ON CONTROL IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
"Looking at the map, I feel good about where our conference is...
"I’m confident that we are going to have the majority when we get back again, and that in combination with majority in the Senate and as well as control in the White House, its going to be a bright, bright future for Americans."

Tuesday, November 5, 2024: Finally! If you’re like me, you’re glad Election Day is finally here. After what seems like forever of campaign ads on television and radio and fundraising ads on our phones and emails, we finally get to make our choices for offices. I’m up early and live on Newsmax as we discuss the election today and the important role the state of Georgia will play in the presidential election as well as the issues that are on voter’s minds. Next, I head to Brooklet in Bulloch County where I join my good friends David and Christine Cutlip for the opening of Sally Maes Restaurant. This is the newest addition to this family run restaurant business as they also own Savannah Seafood shack, Yatai Ramen, Below Zero Dessert, and Savannah Smokehouse. Afterwards, I head to Savannah, and during the drive, I join in on our all staff conference call. Once in Savannah, I head to the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Savannah where I meet with area homebuilders including Bryan Wardlaw, Jerry and Mark Konter, HBA Board Member Tracey Burdette and HBA Executive Officer Patty Rietkovich. Next, I head to Abercorn Street in Savannah where I meet with representatives from the Police Benevolent Society before heading to Top Shelf Ammo in Pooler where I am joined by Pooler Mayor Karen Williams and City Manager Heath Lloyd as we meet with owner Pete Chaison and Vann Winn as they explain their businesses and their strong advocacy of firearm training and safety. Later in the evening, I remain in Savannah and attend a few watch parties including one for Chatham County Sheriff John Wilcher in Thunderbolt and one in downtown Savannah for the Chatham County Republican Party.

Wednesday, November 6, 2024: After getting very little sleep last night, I’m up early and live on Mornings with Maria on Fox Business alongside my House colleague and good friend Rep. Dan Meuser (R-GA) as we discuss the results of yesterday’s election and the impact it will have going forward. Later, I head to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in Pooler in West Chatham County where we are holding our annual Academy Day. Every year members of Congress are given an appointment opportunity to each of our country’s military academies. Because we have so many applicants of such high quality, I have entrusted an Academy Board to conduct interviews of the applicants and to make recommendations for appointments. In order to get a diverse representation of our district, our board is made up of graduates of military academies, veterans and active military who didn’t attend a military academy, as well as citizens with no military experience. Our great board is chaired by Tom Roberts from Savannah and today they interview 26 applicants from over 15 schools throughout our district. After welcoming the applicants and their parents/support persons, I have a phone conference with my fellow Georgia delegation member and good friend Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-GA) and Under Secretary of Commerce for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Administrator Dr. Rick Spinrad to discuss the data NOAA is providing to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA), its shortcomings, and its negative impact on hurricane recovery efforts in Georgia. I was pleased to secure a commitment from Administrator Spinrad to redouble his agency’s efforts to address our concerns. This is very important to farmers in our district who have crop insurance and need this designation for their recovery efforts. Next, I head to midtown Savannah where I attend the monthly meeting of the South of Derenne Avenue (SODA) group. This vivacious group of business leaders represents some of our most successful businesses in the district. Afterwards, I head to Wilmington Island in Chatham County to the Savannah Country Club for the monthly meeting of the Chatham Area Republican Women where I have the opportunity to bring them up to date on the election results from yesterday. Next, I head to our Brunswick office in Glynn County where I have the opportunity to meet with Brunswick City Commissioner Lance Sabbe to learn more about the work he is doing with Forward Brunswick to raise resources for Brunswick’s revitalization projects such as the exciting project they have in the works on Reynolds Street near the Brunswick waterfront. After a great meeting, I record this week’s edition of Buddy’s Briefing, Material Minute and a welcoming address to the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America that is meeting in Savannah next week.
Rep. Carter speaks to Chatham Area Republican Women
Thursday, November 7, 2024: During my drive to Savannah this morning, I have a radio interview on the Laura Coates Show on Sirius XM to discuss this week’s election results. Once in Savannah in Chatham County, I head to The Cove at Dundee, a 46-unit tiny house community for veterans exiting homelessness, located in the midtown area. The development, a community project spearheaded by the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless, has been awarded the Blue Star Memorial Marker by the NGC Blue/Gold Star Chair. The Blue Star Program honors all men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Services. The Blue Star was adopted because of its history in World War II, when it was seen on flags and banners at homes and churches in honor of the sons and daughters off fighting in the war. Afterwards, I head to the Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) at Travis Field for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Veterans Day Luncheon honoring our veterans. I have the honor of saying a few words here and remind everyone of the many freedoms we enjoy in our great country thanks to the service and sacrifice of our veterans, including one that we exercised this week- the freedom to vote and elect our leaders.
