Happy weekend, friends!
Survival Sunday is a personal note and a round-up of the week's news and resources for folks who are interested in being prepared. This curated collection of information is only available to email and Patreon subscribers.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Good morning, friends!
I was personally delighted about the results of the presidential election this past week, though I know that not everyone feels that way. It's a shame that the Democrats ran a fear-based campaign that left their voters feeling terrified. It's awful that the polls were deliberately misleading, leaving them not only scared and unhappy but also shocked.
While there have been a few large protests, they're not anywhere near what I expected. That kind of makes me nervous, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully, this continues, but I don't trust it.
What young people don't seem to be learning anymore is that the outcome of an election may not always be to your liking. I certainly was appalled by the Biden administration, for example, and would've been unhappy with a win for Harris. But the thing is, that is what happens in a Constitutional Republic. You win some, and you lose some, and you hope it all balances out at some point. It isn't a personal attack when people vote differently from you. I really hope that we can turn our country back into a place where people can passionately discuss their differences and then go grab lunch together. That seems pretty far away right now, but my hopes remain alive.
No matter how the people you love voted, I hope that you can put your differences aside and remain close. Cutting off the folks who surround you because you're mad about a vote is vindictive and, honestly, not very American. I hate that the atmosphere has turned into one that is tearing families and friends apart because of a difference in beliefs.
I was wondering - are you on X? Elon Musk's revamp of Twitter saved the election, in my opinion. I've found it to be a great source of news - far more reliable than the "mainstream" media brainwashing. If you're on there - please give me a follow [link removed]!
I've been looking into mobility aids with my physical therapist and will be ordering a rollator as soon as possible. I really look forward being able to safely get outside and walk, while bringing a seat with me for rest. Things are improving faster than I ever expected, and my entire team from surgeon to PT is surprised. I may never have the same mobility I did before, but losing it completely sure makes you glad for whatever you get back. Being able to stand and wash a whole load of dishes without crutches is still pretty novel but it feels so freeing!
One thing I really look forward to is no longer being censored through financial means. I hope that holds true and I can once again monetize the website. For now, however, we depend on you.

I was personally delighted about the results of the presidential election this past week, though I know that not everyone feels that way. It's a shame that the Democrats ran a fear-based campaign that left their voters feeling terrified. It's awful that the polls were deliberately misleading, leaving them not only scared and unhappy but also shocked.
While there have been a few large protests, they're not anywhere near what I expected. That kind of makes me nervous, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully, this continues, but I don't trust it.
