Hi james,
The battle for Bob Casey’s Senate seat isn’t over yet, and we need all hands on deck to pull ahead! Before I go on, will you consider chipping in anything you can to help Bob Casey win this thing?
Contrary to the calls by the media, all of the ballots in Bob Casey’s Senate race have NOT been counted — and the race is likely headed to a recount. Republican Dave McCormick leads by 0.5% — around 30,000 votes — and there are still over 100,000 provisional ballots that have NOT yet been cured and counted. “Curing” is the process for mail ballots that fixes mistakes that the voter made when completing the packet so it can be accepted and counted.
This means there remains a big chunk of PA voters whose votes haven't been counted — and it means we could still win this critical Senate seat for Bob Casey. But that’s going to be very expensive, so we need everyone to rush a donation to Pennsylvania Democrats so they can get every vote cured and counted. Our democracy demands it! Chip in to re-elect Bob Casey!
It’s a simple proposition — count every vote before calling the race — and as the birthplace of American democracy, Pennsylvania *must* lead the way by ensuring a fair and complete count.
The fact that Dave McCormick has filed a lawsuit challenging the eligibility of 15,000 to 20,000 provisional ballots from Philadelphia tells you all you need to know — he’s scared he will lose, because he knows good and well that this race is NOT. OVER.
Keeping Bob Casey in the Senate would be a staggering blow to the GOP and a huge boost to our chances of retaking the Senate majority in 2026, when the Republicans will be defending 20 (!) different seats — and we’d only need to flip a few to retake the majority. We must defend our democracy from GOP extremism, and that starts by making sure EVERY vote gets counted.
