Thirty-seven years ago on May 10, Russian novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn stood in the Guildhall in London.
As his wife looked on, he received the esteemed Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion.
Then he solemnly addressed the crowd—
“Men Have Forgotten God . . .”
That Russian proverb has reverberated far and wide ever since Solzhenitsyn repeated it that day in that English city.
Having survived the Soviet gulag, Solzhenitsyn understood better than most Westerners what had birthed Communism . . .
