In case you missed it, here's the bottom line up front.
I joined Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer on America's Newsroom to discuss my big win in the Pennsylvania senate race. Here's what I shared with Dana and Bill. ✔ Pennsylvanians voted for CHANGE. They don't want incremental change. They want significant change, and that's what I intend to do when I get to Washington.
✔ Authenticity. People want leaders who do what they say they will do. And if they make a mistake, they own it. I've said it many times over the course of the campaign; I live by the West Point cadet motto: Duty, Honor, Country.
✔ The election is over, and I'm leading by over 32,000 votes. But that hasn't stopped my opponent Bob Casey and the national Democrat machine from organizing and fundraising to try and force a recount. Pennsylvania law dictates an automatic recount if the margin is less than .5%. I'm currently leading by EXACTLY .5%, and we expect my opponent to try and force a recount.
But we're following the lead of President Trump. We are going to FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
While votes continue to be counted, I'm asking for you to chip in today to help us keep up our fight.If you are not in a position to give right now, please don't. I mean it.
But if you are able to give, I'm humbly asking you to chip in any amount to help us fund whatever the Democrats will throw at us in the coming days.
