Dear John, What a historic week! Republicans swept the board on Election Day, defending the House, flipping the Senate, and taking back the White House for President Trump and Senator Vance. On the state level, we broke the DFL trifecta in Saint Paul. While we can’t undo any of the damage from the last two years, it is a huge relief knowing that we will avoid two more years of extreme progressive policies.
In 2020, we flipped Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District red, defeating a long-time Democrat incumbent. Two years later, during the 2022 midterms, Democrats came clawing back—but we held the line. Now, with more than 270,000 votes and 70.5% of the vote share, we’ve secured our third straight win, firmly establishing western Minnesota as a conservative stronghold. This historic victory happened because of your support and the tireless efforts of volunteers who made calls, knocked doors, and rallied with us.
With President Trump’s decisive win in both the Electoral College and the popular vote, Republicans have a historic mandate to act and govern. Voters chose a conservative trifecta in the House, Senate, and White House, and expectations are high. I’m ready to work with my colleagues and the Trump administration to cut middle-class taxes, secure both borders, preserve our God-given constitutional freedoms, and deliver the comprehensive Farm Bill our farmers deserve.
Now that the election is behind us, it’s a good time to pause, give thanks, and pray for healing in our land. We are energized for the work that awaits us. With your continued support, conservatives are ready to make a real impact for Minnesota and for our nation.
