Hello,
We're really happy to share that our campaign stopped by Columbia Memorial Hospital yesterday to help deliver hot meals for the workers on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Getting lunch for the doctors, nurses, and health care workers who are working to keep our families alive and healthy through this pandemic is the least we can do to say thank you.
We also ordered from a local restaurant, The Cascades in Hudson, to maximize our impact of supporting our communities here in upstate New York.
If you want to say thank you to essential health care workers by ordering them a local meal, chip in $5 or more to the MARK Project's "Feed the Frontline" program today.
In Congress, my colleagues and I have worked hard to deliver critical funding for health care workers across the country. The first CARES Act established $100 billion in support for hospitals and health care workers to respond quickly to the rising challenges of the pandemic.
But we can and will do more.
Health care workers need more PPE, they need more medical supplies, and they need the full support of the United States government to keep patients -- and themselves -- safe from the dangers of the virus.
In the meantime, we wanted to give back to our heroes by buying them lunch and thanking them for the work they're doing. The MARK Project and area restaurants launched the “Feed the Front Line” program to send locally prepared meals to area hospitals in upstate New York.
They even go the extra mile by providing vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals using eco-friendly take-out containers.
We really love the work they're doing because it shows our appreciation for health care heroes while simultaneously supporting local businesses.
So, if you're able, please chip in $5 or more to the MARK Project's "Feed the Frontline" program so we can continue sending meals to essential health care workers.
With love,
Antonio
