The upcoming Memorial Day holiday is another sad reminder of what COVID-19 has taken from us. We don't know when we will have the next opportunity to hang out with friends, extended family, and colleagues again. It has been two long months and we don't quite know when or how this will end.
That said, BYD is working hard to maintain its election year activity for its members and endorsed candidates. While there won't be any knocking on doors for some time, there are still opportunities to perform our work at a safe distance.
This Sunday, we plan to co-host a Virtual Day of Action for Jesse Pierce, our endorsed candidate for District Leader. We are excited to partner with our friends at Independent Neighborhood Democrats to make this happen!
We'll be checking in on folks in the 52nd Assembly District to make sure they have all the relevant information they need in order to vote safely.

P.S. BYD will be holding its first ever virtual General Body Meeting on Tuesday May 26th. We will be endorsing candidates in the following primary races: NY-9, AD-43, SD-20, and Male District Leader in AD-53. We will be sending more information soon! In the meantime, RSVP on Facebook!
