Bad news, team.

Democrat Christy Smith has officially conceded in the CA-25 Special Election. We lost a House seat in California.

With everything going on, we knew the odds were not in our favor. And it's true that our chances are infinitely stronger to flip this seat back to blue come November.

But folks, the Republicans are going to use this win as a rallying cry to mobilize more resources into California. Even Trump is boasting about this win in a series of tweets.

Make no mistake: TJ Cox will be the first target of a reenergized Republican Party in California. TJ represents the lone tossup seat in the state, and Trump has already admitted he wants David Valadao back in Washington "badly."

We need to respond quickly and urgently, and nothing would send a stronger message that we're committed to protecting our House wins in California than a SURGE of grassroots support.
