We recognize that moments like these feel daunting, but they also remind us of the importance of the strength and unrelenting power within our local communities. As Fran so eloquently stated in their email earlier this week, “I must stand firm in this belief: no matter who occupies the White House, we will keep fighting for our families, our freedoms, and our future. Equality Federation and our state partners will continue to organize in the communities we call home — every single community in this democracy.”

We know what will happen next: Trump and his allies will likely push Project 2025, targeting federal protections, HIV services, and healthcare for LGBTQ+ people, especially affecting transgender and non-binary communities. So we all have to keep fighting. We don’t have the option to stop. Why? Because to stop is to abandon our community, people whose lives will be turned upside down if we don’t stand in his way.
Our work is far from over, and with you, we’ll continue fighting for a future where everyone can live freely, openly, and safely, no matter the community they call home. [[link removed]]
