John, Donald
Trump has won the 2024 presidential election.
We don’t know what the future will look like under his presidency, but we
do know this: the islands of Hawai’i face unique threats from a Trump
administration, including: politicized disaster mismanagement, accelerated
climate change, increased militarization, and rollbacks of worker
protections.
Our Hawai‘i is building a movement of everyday people that is preparing to
be on the frontlines under Trump. We refuse to let the progress we’ve made
be rolled back — not with so much at stake.
You might ask yourself, why does Hawai‘i matter in a moment like this, and
why should I get involved if I don’t even live in Hawai‘i?
The truth is, right now, Hawai’i has a unique opportunity to model hope
and resistance for the world. This is bigger than just us, and we need
folks from all over the country to fuel our grassroots movement.

water, economy, culture, and people from corrupt external forces like
Trump.
DONATE
Through organizing, community building, and culture, Our Hawai’i is
building a Kānaka-centered, multiracial movement of everyday people to
reclaim our future.
In the short term, we will mobilize against any Trump administration
actions that threaten our working people, indigenous communities, or the
land itself. In the long term, we seek to shift ownership back to our
communities, elect leaders who represent us, and build an economy that can
actually sustain our people regardless of who the US president is.
Perhaps more than any other place on Earth, Hawai‘i has the potential to
lead the US and world into an indigenous-centered, multi-racial,
environmentally sustainable, and democratic future. We are one of the only
blue states that did not see a large multi-point swing to Trump. We can
show the way towards a better tomorrow in the place that Dr. King once
called a “noble example” of “racial harmony and justice,”^1 but only if
we continue to beat back against regressive economic policies and
political stagnation.
So consider this an invitation. If you feel hopeless about the prospect of
four more years under Donald Trump, join a movement that is looking far,
far beyond him.
Help Hawai‘i become a blueprint for what a better future can look like—in
spite of Donald Trump.

urgent investment of $5 in Our Hawai'i to help us prepare
for the fights ahead?

Everything we are fighting for now in Hawai‘i is on behalf of the
generations still to come. Trump’s presidency is bad news, but it’s just
one obstacle in a much bigger fight for the future of our islands — and it
is one we will overcome together.
Mahalo, and more soon,
Our Hawai'i
