John, Last night, Indiana was part of a historic red wave across the country. With decisive wins up and down the ballot, we proudly secured the White House for another four years as President Trump won with a popular vote victory, a first for a Republican since 2004. Indiana was among the earliest states called for Trump, reflecting the strong support Hoosiers continue to place in his leadership.
Our governor-elect, Mike Braun, won with a commanding mandate, marking one of the largest gubernatorial victories in Indiana’s history. We have not seen a margin this large for an open seat since 1980, resulting in a historic night for Mike Braun. Senator-elect Jim Banks won his race by 20 points! He will continue to represent our state in Congress, now as our Junior Senator. And Attorney General Todd Rokita will continue to fight for Hoosiers in his role as our state's attorney, winning his race by nearly 18 points. We also maintained Republican supermajorities in both the House and Senate. A huge congrats to our legislators that won reelection, and to those who will be joining for their first session in 2025.
These victories are a testament to the trust Hoosiers have in our party’s vision and the commitment of our candidates to serve. But none of this would have been possible without the countless individuals who dedicated their time, energy, and resources to support our campaigns. From campaign staff and local party leaders to the volunteers who knocked on doors, made calls, and engaged with voters, this success belongs to all of you. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment helped make this historic election night a reality. Thank you for standing with us, believing in our vision, and working tirelessly to keep Indiana strong. We look forward to the incredible progress that our elected leaders will bring to Indiana in 2025 and beyond!
