Hi John,

Tuesday was a tough day for the movement. The opposition came out in full
force and several of the ballot initiatives we fought for fell short. But
even against big odds, many campaigns persevered, and wins were achieved.

These successes were a result of our incredible partners, who worked so
long and so hard to make this happen ❤️. Together, change IS possible.

Campaigns were able to defend challenges to voting rights in Arizona,
Florida, and Minnesota, protecting the ballot initiative process and
public campaign financing. And in places like Maine, Washington, D.C., and
Los Angeles, our partners gained ground for the movement by passing
anti-gerrymandering, campaign finance reform, open primaries and Ranked
Choice Voting initiatives.

We are so proud of what we were able to help our partners achieve this
cycle.

Thank you to:

lead to stop gerrymandering by implementing an independent
redistricting commission
* [ [link removed] ]Make All Votes Count DC, who got open primaries and Ranked Choice
Voting passed in Washington, D.C.
* [ [link removed] ]CalRCV in Richmond, California, who worked on Ranked Choice Voting
for the city
* [ [link removed] ]Voter Choice Arizona and [ [link removed] ]Better Ballot Arizona, who worked on
defeating initiatives that would have made it harder for ballot
initiatives to both get on the ballot and pass
* [ [link removed] ]FairVote Minnesota, who defended against repealing Ranked Choice
Voting at the city level in Bloomington, Minnesota
* A4, Fairness Project and BISC in North Dakota, who fought an attack
that would make passing ballot initiatives more difficult
* [ [link removed] ]Maine Citizens to End SuperPACs, which helped limit contributions
to political action committees

This is not an exhaustive list – many more people participated and we
supported more initiatives! For a complete list, check out our [ [link removed] ]campaign
tracker.

Progress takes time, and can feel incremental until all of a sudden, it's
not.

Let's go,
