Dear Friend,

The message from Americans and Wisconsinites was clear this week:  we want secure borders, lower prices, safer neighborhoods, and peace through strength.

Congratulations to President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance on their decisive victory. With a Republican majority in the Senate and what appears to be similar results in the House, I'm confident that together, we can deliver results for you.

There’s much work ahead to restore America’s greatness, and I want to share the priorities I’ll be focused on as we move forward.

One of my first priorities will be regaining control of our southern border. That includes ending the failed Obama and Biden policy of illegal aliens being caught and then released into our communities. It also means beginning to apprehend and remove those who have violated our immigration laws.

I also plan to cut wasteful, woke spending, lower taxes, and bring down the cost of living. A key part to this is achieving energy independence. By tapping into America’s clean oil and gas resources, we can lower fuel prices, which in turn will reduce costs for goods and services across the board.

This approach will also empower President Trump to facilitate peace through strength around the globe and enact strong sanctions on Iran, as well as holding Communist China accountable.

Closer to home, I’m dedicated to addressing the growing issue of gray wolf attacks on livestock, pets, and other animal populations. During President Trump’s last term, we successfully delisted the gray wolf, but an activist judge in California placed the gray wolf back on the endangered species list.

I am committed to passing my legislation that will return gray wolf management back to the states, allowing us to protect our communities and rural livelihoods.

Finally, and perhaps one of the most important things is defending our First Amendment and freedom of speech. We’ve made strides in fighting censorship, and I will continue to fight for our First Amendment rights so that every Wisconsinite can voice their opinions freely.

Thank you for kicking off your weekend with the Tiffany Telegram. We will be back next week with more.

Sincerely,

Inauguration Day ticket information

The 60th Presidential Inauguration of President Trump will be held on Monday, January 20th, in Washington, D.C., on the west front of the U.S. Capitol. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) is responsible for the planning and will distribute tickets for the event to congressional offices. While we have not yet received the tickets or know the number that will be allocated to my office, we are accepting requests. Once my office receives the tickets from the JCCIC, we will distribute them on a first-come, first-served basis to residents of the Seventh District only. You may also request tickets from Senator Ron Johnson and Senator Tammy Baldwin. If you would like to attend the upcoming Presidential Inauguration, please email my office here or call them at (202) 225-3365 to request tickets.

The truth revealed: Dane County Sheriff lied

Telegram readers may remember the recent case in Prairie du Chien, where a Venezuelan illegal alien – who was a member of the Tren de Aragua gang – sexually assaulted a woman and abused a child. This individual should never have been allowed into our country in the first place, but perhaps even more troubling, sanctuary jurisdictions like Minneapolis and Dane County failed to prevent him from reoffending. When arrested in Prairie du Chien, he also had an active warrant in Dane County for false imprisonment and battery. In response, I sent a letter to Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett demanding answers on their policy of non-cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Instead of providing a professional answer, he took to Facebook to accuse me of lying and proclaiming that Dane County does indeed work with ICE, despite ICE listing Dane County as a sanctuary jurisdiction. Thanks to a report from Wisconsin Right Now, we now have the full truth. The Dane County Sheriff’s office refused to comply with 90% of ICE requests to detain criminal illegal aliens, including those charged with attempted homicide and child rape. Even if they had arrested Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate in Dane County, he would likely have been released back onto our streets. Sanctuary jurisdictions make our communities less safe, and they should not receive federal funding. I have previously worked on making this a reality, and this is something House Republicans should be able to get done next year.

The Left’s war on women

At the end of October, the United Nations released an upsetting, but unfortunately not surprising report, exposing that nearly 900 biological female athletes have been kept off the podium because they were beat by transgender athletes. The report, titled “Violence against women and girls in sports,” examined over 400 competitions across 29 different sports and found that more than 600 female athletes were unable to medal due to being beat by biological males – bringing the grand total to over 890 medals. This eye-opening report is just another level of proof of the Left’s war on women. On Joe Biden’s very first day in office, he began this war by planning to allow biological males to participate in women’s sports. Then, just this year, every single House Democrat voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023For the sake of our daughters, we are lucky that Republicans will now be able to put an end to this. In the new Congress, I will continue to make protecting women’s sports a top priority.
