Thank you for believing in me and all you have done to support me along the way. I’m grateful for our decisive win on election night and recognize that our success would not have been possible without people like you stepping up in innumerable ways to get us there. Your support made all the difference.
Serving and representing the people of CD7 has been the greatest honor of my life. This is where I grew up, the place that made me who I am and has given me every opportunity I’ve had in my life. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career fighting to make sure others have the same chance I did to build a better life, and I promise to continue that fight.
I know we are devastated by the result of the presidential race and losses across the country. But as Kamala Harris said earlier this week - “This is not a time to throw up our hands. This is a time to roll up our sleeves.”
They want us to feel powerless but we cannot let them. I am not giving up and I know you aren’t either. It is going to be a tough road ahead and it will require our sustained attention and dedication. We must stay unified in our fight for our shared future.
My son Davis — and my little one on the way — remind me every day what’s at stake. I promise to keep working to build the future our kids deserve, now more than ever.
Thank you for believing in me, and thank you for staying in this fight on behalf of our nation.
Get some rest and take care. We will get through this, because we’re in it together.
With gratitude,
Brittany
