We're building a firewall against the Trump admin. Join us.

ACLU Supporter, we know it's been a long week, but we wanted to uplift Deirdre's email. If the Trump administration comes for our communities, they'll have to get past all of us.

To be part of this effort and movement right now: Take action with us to protect immigrants' rights, abortion access, free speech, and more. <[link removed]>

– The ACLU Team

Friend –

Mass deportations. Abortion banned in every state. Unprecedented expansion of executive power and crackdowns on free speech and other First Amendment rights. Project 2025.

ACLU Supporter, we know exactly what kind of threat we're up against in a second Donald Trump term.

If he has a chance to enact the policies he's been threatening since he left office in 2020, more families will be separated, more people will die without reproductive health care, and they will weaponize the federal government against protesters and political opponents.

The ACLU is prepared for this threat. We took legal action against Trump's administration 434 times when he was first in office, and we will do it again. And we have the playbook to fight back – and win – once again. We already outlined this plan in the election memos we released this summer, and have been building a firewall for freedom with volunteers and advocates like you in local communities around our country, so that our state and local laws and policies protect against Trump's threats while our lawyers take to courts nationwide and federally.

But it's going to take all of us. We have clear-cut actions you can take immediately to fight against Trump – from immigrants' rights to abortion care and more. Join us in the fight today. <[link removed]>

Take Action <[link removed]>

Now's not the time to lose heart, ACLU Supporter – we can't afford inaction. The incoming administration poses an immediate threat to our civil rights and civil liberties, and if we wait for Trump to be inaugurated before trying to block the worst of his attacks, it'll be too late.

That's why we're building a firewall for freedom in the states – working with governors, attorneys general, state legislators, and local officials to protect our rights from executive overreach, while our national lawyers continue their work in federal courts. And we're urging President Biden to use his remaining time in office to commute death row sentences, close abusive immigration detention facilities, and put a moratorium on federal agencies' purchases of our personal data so President Trump can't weaponize it against us.

We don't have to wait to find out what Trump will do in office, ACLU Supporter – he's already told us, and we're taking him at his word.

We need your help to protect immigrants' rights, abortion rights, free speech and so much more in a Trump presidency. Ready to be part of the movement to protect our rights? Take action now. <[link removed]>

If the Trump administration wants to come for our communities, they are going to have to get through ALL of us.

Thank you for joining the fight,
