Dear Neighbors,
Now that the election season is over, I am able to resume my regular email updates. Thank you to the residents of District 53B for again trusting me to represent you at the Capitol; it is truly an honor to represent our communities and fight for a better Minnesota alongside you all.

Veterans Day is Monday, November 11. There are events taking place across the Twin Cities to honor those who have served the country. Thank you to all who have served this country, both past and present.
This year, the Official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Celebration will be taking place in Arden Hills at the Ben Franklin Readiness Center (1536 Ben Franklin Dr). The complimentary breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. and the official program at 10 a.m. If you are unable to attend, a live-stream of the event will be available here.
Throughout the summer and fall, I have continued to serve in my position as co-chair on both the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) and the Legislative Audit Commission (LAC).
Our next LCCMR meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The agenda is to hear reports back on completed projects, peer review results for 2025 recommendations, discuss the strategic plan and 2026 requests for proposals. You can watch the meeting live or afterwards on the LCCMR Youtube page.
Next week, the Office of the Legislative Auditor's Financial Audit Division will release the performance audit of the Minnesota State Academies for the Deaf and the Blind on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. I will be reviewing the report, which will be presented at a future LAC meeting.
