John,

First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Oliver / ter Maat campaign, their staff, and to every Libertarian who supported their effort. It was a crowded race, and this was the most challenging election year in the party's history. It is without a doubt that the 2024 election will be marked in history books as a turning point in American politics.

While the ballot box may not have delivered the Libertarian Party a victory, the work that I have put in to garner assurances from President-elect Trump are poised to deliver us the most momentous victories, and influence, that we have ever had as a movement.

On January 20th, 2025, I believe Ross Ulbricht will be a free man. President-elect Trump will stay true to his pledge, made to me privately, and to all of us, publicly at our 2024 National Convention.

We will have a libertarian in his cabinet. I am already in dialogue with President-elect Trump and his team for recommendations and conversations around potential candidates and positions.

I'm excited to see President-elect Trump abolish the Dept. of Education, work with Ron Paul, and bring on other liberty-centric voices like Rep. Thomas Massie, who is reportedly in consideration for the Secretary of Agriculture. This is only the start.

The future is brimming with hope and optimism. The true “Libertarian Moment” may be at hand. Now is the time to make our party stronger, and to lean into the influence that we have worked so hard to gain.
