We needed to raise $200,000 through the 2024 FIRST THINGS Fall Appeal. We did, receiving a total of $210,842 between September 13 and October 31.

Even more encouraging, though, was how many readers stepped up to contribute. We hoped for 450; the final number was 554.

To those of you who did contribute, thank you for making this incredible level of participation—and the achievement of our goal—possible.

Your vital support is already being put to work in raising up and equipping more leaders like Fr. Vincent Druding, a former FIRST THINGS editorial assistant and current priest in the Archdiocese of New York.

To those who did not contribute, please consider making a charitable gift to FIRST THINGS before the year is out.

FIRST THINGS relies on gifts in November and December for 45 percent of what we need to publish our magazine and execute our programs.
