In a couple of days, the United States Marine Corps will celebrate its 249th birthday. As a daughter of a retired Marine, this day is especially meaningful for my family and me.

It can be difficult to truly understand the sacrifices our military heroes make day in and day out. Right now, thousands of Marines are deployed to some of the most dangerous places around the world, putting their lives on the line to keep us safe back at home. That’s why I hope you'll take a moment to sign the official USMC birthday card now. Please, will you add your name to our Marine Corps birthday card and show these heroes how grateful you are for their service?

I know signing a card might not seem like a big deal, but it means the world to Marines like my dad when military supporters thank them for their service and sacrifice. Your name on our card reminds our heroes in uniform that we haven't forgotten them and to stay strong during their most challenging moments.

But we only have two days! And we can't reach our signature goal without your help: Please, take a moment to add your name and honor our courageous Marines ahead of this important day.
