TELL CONGRESS: The extreme SCOTUS "absolute immunity" ruling has helped
Trump escape accountability. But Congress has a chance to ensure that no
one in America is above the law, not even Trump. Sign the petition: Pass
the No Kings Act now!

Hi,

The Supreme Court’s extreme “absolute immunity” ruling in Trump’s January
6 case allowed Trump to escape accountability. Now, he’s going to be
president again.

Trump used the extreme SCOTUS ruling to get his classified documents case
dismissed, to delay proceedings in his election interference case,^1 and
to put off sentencing after his conviction on 34 felony counts for
falsifying business records. Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, John Roberts,
Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Neil Gorsuch’s extreme ruling
helped Trump get through to election day.

Congress can invalidate the SCOTUS “absolute immunity” decision and say no
president is above the law, not even Trump, if they pass the No Kings Act.

The No Kings Act would undo the SCOTUS Trump immunity ruling and assert
that presidents don’t have immunity for criminal actions.^2

In her dissenting opinion on the absolute immunity ruling, Justice Sonia
Sotomayor wrote, "In every use of official power, the president is now a
king above the law." She added that she feared for our democracy.^3 Her
sentiment is brought into even starker focus with Trump set to take office
again in January.

Congress must take action now before it’s too late.

SCOTUS decision to give American presidents absolute immunity by passing
the No Kings Act.

Thanks for taking action,
