Friend,
Today the United States Women’s National Soccer Team is playing in the World Cup Finals – their record-breaking fifth final. Women of the United States are yet again making herstory!
I extend my biggest congratulations and good luck wishes to our women’s team for today’s game and I want to applaud their hard work, determination, and fight.
I also want to thank the members of the Women’s National Team for their leadership in the fight for equal pay for equal work. The U.S. is considered the best women’s soccer team in the world. They’ve brought home more medals for our country than the men’s team, and yet they are paid just 38 cents for every dollar their male counterparts receive.
Make no mistake, these athletes are working just as hard and accomplishing even more, for less pay, just because they are women. Not only are they taking on battles on the field, but also for the future of our country.
As a fierce advocate for equal pay, I am proud to stand in solidarity with these amazing women. Will you join me in sending your good luck wishes to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and adding your name to demand equal pay for women in the United States?

I am inspired by these shereos, setting a wonderful example for our daughters (and sons!) and moving our country forward both on the field and off. I’d welcome them to the U.S. House of Representatives to celebrate any time!
My message to the team: The entire A-Team will be proudly cheering you on today, and ready to fight with you tomorrow!
In solidarity
