John,

THANK YOU

Thanks to all who tuned in to our virtual victory party. What an incredible way to celebrate the volunteers, organizations and everyone involved in the historic passage of the Virginia Values Act!

Our celebration may have come to a close, but you can carry on the momentum in a few important ways. We’ve pulled together a quick list of 5 supportive actions you can take, beginning today:

  1. Human Rights Campaign (HRC): The upcoming election is a major test for the LGBTQ equality movement. Will you help defend our rights and pledge to vote in November
  2. Equality Virginia: Lunch and Learn! RSVP today for next Tuesday’s event on May 19th. Equality Virginia will meet with Virginia legislators who helped pass the VA Values Act.
  3. National Equality Action Team (NEAT): Volunteer to make calls from home to support LGBTQ campaigns.
  4. Freedom for All Americans: Contact federal legislators about the Equality Act. LGBTQ people in 29 states still lack explicit and enduring protections. The Equality Act will change that.
  5. National Center for Transgender Equality: Stay engaged by being a voter in November! Each vote matters. Many people have questions about how to vote if you’re transgender. NCTE has launched a project to answer those very questions.

Thanks again for all you have done to help pass the VA Values Act! Stay tuned for more information about what this historic law means for LGBTQ Virginians.
