I know the election brings up a lot of emotion, and perhaps uncertainty, for many. However, I will always remain committed to serve you, the Second District, and our country. I remind myself to keep the faith in our democracy and keep moving forward.

New Visitor Information Center

I was thrilled to be a part of the grand opening of the new visitor information center at the Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis in South Holland. This information center is a proud display of attractions throughout the south suburbs and will help visitors find the best accommodations, restaurants, and attractions. Thank you to the Visit Chicago Southland for showcasing our wonderful home.

Common Sense Gun Safety Legislation

Last week, I introduced a bill that will prevent people convicted of violent misdemeanors from owning or buying a gun for five years. People who have hurt others in violent hate crimes, in domestic violence incidents, or through stalking should not have easy access to guns. It's simply common sense.
