Message from your local Castle ward Councillors

We hope this email finds you and your families well. As your local ward Councillors we wish to let you know that you are not alone in this crisis and that your City Council continues to work hard to help those who need it most.

Thank you to residents for all that you are doing to support each other, your community and the city in these difficult times. Its been important in recent weeks to stay at home, protect the NHSandsave lives and we encourage residents to continue to follow Government guidance as it develops. Our thoughts are with all those who have lost their lives, or who have lost people close to them, due to Coronavirus. Were also thinking of more vulnerable residents, or those with caring responsibilities, for whom these are particularly challenging times. Some of you have volunteered with local residents groups or voluntary groups, and many have donated to the Robin Hood Fund - thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Like many of you, everyThursday weve been clapping for our carers and on International Workers Memorial Day we marked the one minute silence to remember keyworkers who have lost their lives to COVID-19. We are so grateful to those working in the NHS and social care, in Police and Fire Services, to teachers in our schools and staff in Nottingham City Council who have kept essential services running throughout this crisis, as well as shopworkers, bus and delivery drivers and many others who have helped our city to cope with this situation.

This is also a difficult time financially for many people and businesses. Information about support is available on the Council website:[link removed] [ [link removed] ]

Please do get in touch if you need our help - our contact details are at the bottom of this email.

Best wishes,

Cllr Angharad Roberts andCllr Sam Webster
