Plastics scams fuelling crime and injustice

Old wheelie bins discarded by UK householders may be funding organised crime and contributing to environmental injustice and human rights violations around the globe. In the new report, Dirty Deals — Part One, we revealed startling evidence of how regulatory weaknesses, legal loopholes and outdated practices in the global plastic waste trade are being exploited in the UK, fuelling a thriving illegal market. We also took a look at India's plastic waste EPR system and found that fraud is prevalent.
