David McCormick Unseats Incumbent Senator Bob Casey in Pennsylvania

Republicans currently will control the Senate 53-45, awaiting final results in Arizona and Nevada (RCP). Daily Mail: Republican Senate candidate David McCormick won the Pennsylvania Senate race ousting incumbent Senator Bob Casey in a surprise upset after trailing him for months. Its a sign of Donald Trump’s influence in the battleground state that gave the now President-elect a major win on Election Night. Republicans looked to pick up the seat in the crucial swing state once again as they move to expand their new Senate majority (Daily Mail). Eric Daugherty: A growing number of GOP senators are declaring victory for Dave McCormick in the PA Senate race. No mathematical pathway exists for Bob Casey, but he has not conceded (X). Wall Street Silver: Congrats on flipping another US Senate seat Red. This gives Trump a 53-47 margin in the US Senate. Dave McCormick has beaten liberal Sen Bob Casey. There are only 2 seats for Republicans at risk in 2026, so Trump will have a US Senate majority control for his entire 4 years (X).

Karine Jean-Pierre Cries Foul When Questioned About Biden Saying We Would Be Okay After Claiming Trump Is a “Threat to Democracy”
Daily Caller: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre snapped at Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich at the White House press briefing Thursday, accusing the reporter of twisting her words about President-elect Donald Trump. Heinrich contrasted the White House’s warnings that Trump is a “threat to democracy” and claims that he intends to strip Americans of their rights if he is reelected, with President Joe Biden telling the public on Thursday that Americans will be okay. The press secretary said the Biden-Harris administration respects the decision made by the American people and will ensure a peaceful transition of power as is customary for an incumbent president (Daily Caller). Andy Ngo: At the White House press briefing, a reporter asks the spokeswoman why Biden said America is going to be okay in a speech today when he and the administration said before that a Trump win would bring the end of democracy (X). Townhall: “The president repeatedly referred to Donald Trump as threat to Democracy, over and over again. This morning, though, he said we’re all going to be okay. So, was that just political rhetoric?” KJP: The president is an optimist (X)!

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Shocked At Grocery Prices
PJ Media: Joe Scarborough seems baffled and caught off-guard by the simple economics that ultimately fueled Trump’s victory in 2024. His exchange with a Kamala Harris voter, who nervously confessed that “Trump’s gonna win” due to something as basic as the high cost of groceries, exposes a crazy disconnect between liberal media elites and everyday Americans (PJ Media). Steve Guest: On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough is still trying to square how Kamala Harris lost so bad and was SHOCKED to learn about the high price of groceries.  Scarborough was floored when a friend told him butter was $3 and he almost fell out of his chair when Mika Brzezinski told him butter was $7 (X). Katie Pavlich: Americans have been telling you this for years. This is not hard and I find this new shock, only because his candidate lost, to be completely revolting. It’s an exact copy of what Biden-Harris repeatedly said about inflation: it wasn’t happening, it is happening but transitory, it’s happening but just deal with it because it isn’t that bad, it’s not bad if you take out food and shelter, etc (X).

Tim Walz’ Home County in Minnesota Flips to Trump
New York Post: No hometown glory here. Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz didn’t just lose the overall election to Donald Trump — he even lost his home county to him, too. President-elect Trump’s overwhelmingly win saw him net 49.6% of the vote in Minnesota’s Blue Earth County, where Walz’s family lived for 20 years before he was elected governor (New York Post). National Review: He represented the district for 12 years after working as a public school teacher and serving in Minnesota’s national guard. Over time, Walz transformed from a moderate Democratic congressman to a staunch progressive governor, weakening his image in the rural part of Minnesota (National Review).

Biden, Harris Waive Sanctions Against Palestine After Discovering Government is Paying Terrorists
Free Beacon: Just before Tuesday’s presidential election, the Biden-Harris administration quietly waived mandatory terrorism sanctions on the embattled Palestinian government—even as it determined that the government’s leaders are paying imprisoned terrorists and fomenting violence in breach of U.S. law. The State Department, in a non-public notice to Congress, determined that the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) are not complying with agreements to curb terrorism against Israel and end the “pay-to-slay” program, which rewards imprisoned terrorists for committing acts of violence… The Biden-Harris administration nonetheless used its executive power to waive the sanctions (Free Beacon). Eyal Yakoby: The White House waived terrorism sanctions on the Palestinian Gov., despite the U.S. determining the Government is paying terrorists. The violations should have triggered immediate US sanctions. Instead, the White House used its executive power to waive them (X).
