Justice Democrats

John, there are countless takeaways from the 2024 election, and one of the most important was expressed by progressive Senator Bernie Sanders:

Tweet from Bernie Sanders: It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.

By embracing billionaires, corporations, and Super PACs, the Democratic Party abandoned its base and the working people it was elected to serve.

Instead of listening to the majority of voters and fighting for the bold change we deserve — like an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza or guaranteed healthcare for everyone through Medicare for All — the Harris campaign and Democratic leadership ran to the right, embracing war criminals like Dick Cheney while raking in millions of dollars in dark money.

Instead of fiercely fighting back against the corporate greed that’s driving up the price of living for working families, the Democratic Party has cozied up to the wealthiest few and industry lobby groups who want them to maintain the status quo at the expense of the rest of us. The American people have clearly had enough, and as Bernie said, they’re right: we deserve better from our leaders and our Party.

Justice Democrats was founded after Bernie’s groundbreaking 2016 presidential campaign to recruit and elect the next generation of progressive leaders ready to challenge the status quo and deliver the bold change we need to thrive. Today, our mission is more critical than ever before.

We’re actively working to build people power in our country by electing a bloc of working class leaders in Congress who meet the urgency of our political moment and serve the people’s agenda — not the interests of big corporate donors. Will you help by rushing a grassroots donation of $5 or more to Justice Democrats’ Candidate Recruitment Fund now?

In this dark moment, it’s on us to come together, rebuild our progressive bloc, and make the Democratic Party the party of everyday people again. Anything you can contribute today will make a difference.

In solidarity,
