Message from your local Bulwell Forest ward Councillors

We hope this email finds you and your families well. As your local ward Councillors we wish to let you know that you are not alone in this crisis and that your City Council continues to work hard to help those who need it most.

There has been some disruption as we focus on essential services and colleagues move to cover those who are self-isolating or in a vulnerable group.

Non-essential services like leisure centres, libraries and museums have closed and staff have been redeployed to adult social care and supporting vulnerable residents including helpingwith food parcel and prescription deliveries.

A helpline set up by the City Council is there for residents requiring assistance. Demand is less than other parts of the city and we seem to be managing well. If you need assistance or become concerned about any friends, family or neighbours then please contact the City Council on 0115 955 555 (opt 0)

Although we are unable to provide our Councillor surgeries, we are still supporting residents and can be contacted by telephone or email - our contact details are at the bottom of this email. We also know residents have been personally affected by Coronavirus and there have been bereavements. We are aware of how difficult this has been and our thoughts are with you.

Finally, on behalf of all Bulwell Forest residents, we pass on our heartfelt thanks to all thoseNHS staff, key workers: volunteers and carers (paid and unpaid). It has been great to see people assisting neighbours and we hope that this sense of community will continue when this virus has gone.

This time will pass and we will come out of this stronger and more united than ever before.

"Cllr Cheryl Barnard, Cllr Eunice Campbell-Clark and Cllr Sam Gardiner"
