Dear ,
As we brace for new challenges to our nation’s environmental laws, we’re reminded of the last Trump administration's relentless attempts to weaken the protections that keep our waters, wildlife, and communities safe. During those four years, our Dive Into Democracy series mobilized millions of public comments and engaged thousands of advocates to take action, from opposing offshore drilling to defending critical clean water standards.
But we didn’t stop there. We took decisive action, filing 39 lawsuits to challenge decisions and rollbacks that threatened to erase decades of environmental progress. Now, with many of these policies still at risk, we must continue our fight.
Our progress over the last few years shows the power of standing together:
1.6 million comments to protect our coastlines from expanded offshore drilling,
610,000 comments against the rollback of Clean Water Act protections, and
912,000 comments defending the National Environmental Policy Act regulations that give communities a voice in projects that affect their health and environment.
But each legal battle, each mobilization, requires resources. With the ongoing threat to these protections, our team must be ready to file more lawsuits, mobilize more advocates, and amplify the voices of those most impacted by weakened environmental laws.
Your support is essential. Here’s how your donation can help:
$50 helps expand our outreach, connecting more Waterkeeper groups and community members with the tools and resources they need to stand up for clean water rights.
$100 funds our legal team as they bring new cases to protect clean water and public health.
$500 strengthens our communications and advocacy efforts, amplifying the voices of communities across the nation.
We’re in this fight for the long haul, and we need you with us. Please make a donation today to help defend the critical environmental protections on which we all depend.
Together, we can ensure that these essential safeguards remain in place for generations to come. Thank you for standing with us.
To clean water,
