During Trump's first term, my fellow ACLU lawyers and I filed 434 legal actions challenging the Trump administration's catastrophic policies separating families at the border, denying immigrant minors access to abortion care, greenlighting discrimination against LGBTQ people, and more.

I can tell you that winning hundreds of legal actions takes thousands of hours of work – and even more in terms of funding, filing fees, and the around-the-clock advocacy work on Capitol Hill that must be done alongside these actions.
